Vantage Point Summer of 2008
Mallard Landing Retirement Community won the 2008 Best Retirement Community on the Eastern Shore award from Metropolitan Magazine in Maryland. This award is based on votes from readers of the magazine and the general public, and represents the ninth year in a row that we have won this honor. We are very proud of it and offer many thanks to our staff at Mallard Landing and Lakeside Assisted Living, without whom this would not have been possible.
We have on 8 new units available in the Grandview condominium building, the final apartment condominium at Mallard Landing. Grandview offers our largest apartments on the campus. Targeted toward active independent residents, Grandview offers two spectacular 2 bedroom units, with either 1,320 or 1,750 square feet. 12 of the 20 units have been sold and are happily occupied by the new owners.
Coldstream Crossing Retirement Community in Kimberton, Pennsylvania is 50% sold. Coldstream Crossing offers 104 villas and carriage homes for active, independent residents. A state-of-the-art assisted living facility will begin construction in the Spring of 2008 and be ready for occupancy in the Summer of 2009.
Summersgate, our new active adult community in Salisbury, Maryland now showing their new model homes. Lynn Brocato, owner/broker of Senior Realty, LLC, and former Marketing Director of Mallard Landing has set up an office on the site. Summersgate will offer full equity ownership and worry-free living for those age 55 and better. The community will include 22 single family homes, 94 villas and 100 apartment condominiums and a spectacular Clubhouse and pool. We believe that Summersgate will be a great complement to Mallard Landing located less than a mile away. Those seeking maintenance free living without an extensive service package can choose Summersgate with its low monthly fees. People who are interested in owning a home with a continuum of hospitality and heath care services available can choose Mallard Landing nearby.
