Dave Bolton – Executive Director
To Dave, senior living is personal. Not only because he has spent the bulk of his career in senior living, but because he’s had experience as the loved one of a family member in need of care. He chose to work with Vantage Point because he believes its personalized, family approach is best for the residents. The special bonds he forms with residents is what he enjoys most about the job. Like others, Dave was originally a part of the Vantage Point family in one of their communities in Hockessin, Delaware. It’s great to have Dave as part of the Corporate team and helping to carry on the culture of Vantage Point in its new projects.
When he’s not overseeing the administrative, operational and financial tasks of the Delaware buildings, Dave can be found relaxing by his backyard pool with his family and English Bull Dogs, Chumley, and Phil.
Michele Strum – Director of Community Relations
Michele describes her title as basically meaning “all hands-on deck!” She is primarily responsible for representing The Lodge to prospects and guiding them through what can many times be an overwhelming proves. Prior to joining the team at The Lodge, Michele was community relations director at Vantage Point’s community in Hockessin, DE. She says that working from Vantage Point is very rewarding because “it encompasses a great sense of passion and determination towards the vision to offer the best lifestyle possible for seniors. Vantage Point has changed the look and feel of senior living. It is quite empowering to be a part of a family that genuinely wants the very best for seniors.” Personal experiences have helped shape her path to her current role, with both parents choosing an independent lifestyle (and being able to see the many benefits first-hand) as well as her mother’s early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. As a result, Michele is an advocate for seniors and encourages them to empower themselves, embrace independence while they can, and choose a lifestyle that can help them maintain that independence for as long as possible
When not working with the team at The Lodge, it’s hard to keep up with Michele! She enjoys an active lifestyle that includes walking, lifting weights, and exercising. Not one to let the grass grow under feet, she loves to travel – especially to California where one of her two sons and sister live. When she does take time to sit still, she fills the time reading health and wellness books.
Suzette Chambers – Associate Director of Community Relations
Suzette helps seniors make the informed and exciting decision to make the most out of their retirement by joining the Lodge family. “My favorite part about what I do is being able to pull it all together for someone who may be overwhelmed about how to move forward and live their best life,” she says. Suzette’s primary role is sales, but she understands the importance of helping seniors settle into the right communities—to enhance their lives and the communities they are a part of! Suzette loves the Vantage Point family because she really feels that “we’re all in this together!”
When she’s not in the office, Suzette enjoys spending time in the sun with her college student and “tweenager” (especially in the summer in Rehoboth!). In her rare free time, you can find Suzette singing Latin Jazz around the area and someday she’d love to try out ballroom dancing.
Loren Galt – Executive Chef and Culinary Director
A chef by trade with a lifetime of experience, Loren understands the importance of creating a positive and welcoming environment, all while creating delicious food that is healthy, flavorful, and satisfying. All of the culinary and hospitality services at Vantage Point communities are under Loren’s direction. He says, “my job is to put something in front of the residents that makes them say ‘wow!’ every day. Food is nostalgic and comforting, but it’s also entertaining, educational, and satisfying.”
Loren’s favorite part of working with Vantage Point is the knowledge that the interest of employees and residents always comes first.
Outside of the kitchen, you can find Loren fixing up his home, cultivating his kitchen garden, or enjoying the beach, concerts, and any outdoor activity.
Barbara Dickinson – Director of Recreation and Events
Barbara joined our team in March as the “Director of Fun,” as she calls it, and is excited to take on her new role when the Lodge opens. She’ll be responsible for ensuring each resident is an active and engaged member of our community. Barbara looks forward to developing a relationship with each and every resident at The Lodge and developing programs that will ensure our residents have active and fulfilled lives within the community. Barbara says of Vantage Point, “I love the deep, personal concern everyone exhibits towards our future residents of The Lodge; I have no doubt that will translate into a feeling of “family” for each of our residents.”
Outside of creating memorable experiences for our Lodge residents, Barbara enjoys live theatre and contemporary dance, as well as Penn State (Let’s go State!) and Aussie Rules Football.
Lisa Daniello – Business Office Manager
A veteran in the world of Senior Living, Lisa Daniello joins us as the Business Office Manager for The Lodge. in the past, Lisa helped manage two previous Vantage Point communities and is excited to rejoin us on this new venture. In her role, she will be responsible for coordinating and managing all things finance at The Lodge. Lisa loves the family environment and enthusiasm at The Lodge and looks forward to getting to know each Lodge resident personally and welcoming everyone into the extended family.
When she’s not in the office, you can find Lisa enjoying the outdoors with her husband and children. Lisa has traveled all over the US, but says Georgia is at the top of her list of favorite destinations.
Marty McIsaac – Facilities Director
Marty joined our team this year and took on the role of Facilities Director for The Lodge. He will be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds, keeping it a beautiful and safe place to live and visit. Marty enjoys being able to help people in this role and cites the “family feel” as a significant draw to working at The Lodge.
Out of the office, you can expect to find Marty outdoors, enjoying the beach or a football game. Someday, he’d like to add “spending time on his boat” to that list.
